HIGH SCHOOL

Your high schooler is developing their own style and becoming independent. Celebrating who they’re becoming today will help you mobilize their potential to become who they’re meant to be.

FAITH PATHS

Faith Paths are a series of intentional events, classes, and small group studies that are aimed at helping parents disciple their children at specific developmental stages, and serves to partner with parents in achieving Crossway's vision of seeing the living hope of Jesus surging through the next generation. These two Faith Paths below are perfect for families with high schoolers. Also see our Faith Paths page for more information regarding all the Faith Paths offered at Crossway.

  • Rites of Passage

This is Faith Path is currently in the development, but will be a Faith Path where students ages 12-15 will come together with their parents to learn what it looks like to be a Godly man or woman in today’s post-Christian culture. Themes will likely include Biblical relationships, sexuality, digital media, identity and other hot topics that face teens in this age range. It will also likely begin to touch on points that will ultimately lead to Crossway’s 7th and final Faith Path entitled Launch, which focuses on preparing Juniors and Seniors in high school for leaving their homes for either college or the work force after they graduate from high school. For more information about this event please contact Andrea Andris

  • Launch

This course is designed for graduating high school seniors and their parents with the aim of creating a space for conversations between student and parents about life after graduation.

The series will help both student and parents talk together about what faith looks like beyond high school. We will read Before You Go by Gerald Fadayomi and each scheduled session through the semester will be designed to create healthy conversations. High School graduation is not the finish line, but this pivotal moment matters. Yes, the relationship will change but parents are still parents and students still need their parents, but in new ways more than ever. This four-part course culminates into Senior Night, a Milestone celebration in which we honor and encourage each of the high school seniors. For more information about this event please contact Jacob Albrecht

  • Parenting Your Ninth Grader

You aren’t sure you can name your teen’s new friends (or where they met them), but you might be in one of the best phases of your child’s life. This is the phase when FRIENDSHIPS SHIFT, GRADES COUNT, AND INTERESTS CHANGE SO OFTEN YOUR TEENAGER HAS TO EXPLAIN, “THIS IS ME NOW.”

  • Parenting Your Eleventh Grader

Your teenager’s social calendar is busier than your own, but you might be in one of the best phases of your child’s life. This is the phase when THERE’S LESS DRAMA, MORE STRESS, AND YOUR VERY BUSY TEENAGER ANSWERS ALL YOUR QUESTIONS WITH, “JUST TRUST ME.”
