PREPARING FOR EASTER AT CROSSWAY

Easter is a celebration of the risen Son.  God raised Jesus from the dead and exalted Him to the highest place.
Night is over and day has come. Death has lost and life has won.

At Crossway we practice the way of Jesus by preparing our hearts and minds

for the significance of Jesus death and resurrection. Join us.

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE

The jump from spring to Easter can be easy. One happy moment leading to another as we celebrate the reappearance of plants, the renewal of warmer temperatures and the resurrection of Christ. Yet skipping the sorrowful moments of Lent and Good Friday may leave us with a light version of Easter. We have not recalled the darker days, not lived in the shadows of sin enough, to truly experience the joy of Easter.

Together, at our Good Friday service, we will participate in the story of Jesus’ death through reading Scripture, singing songs, and sharing in communion. Together we will prepare our hearts, souls, minds, and strengths for the silence of Holy Saturday and the victory of Easter Sunday.

LENT SERMON SERIES

Jesus famously said, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23)

What does it mean to take up your cross daily?

This Lent we’ll explore this essential aspect of practicing the way of Jesus as we follow him on his journey To The Cross through the Gospel of Mark.  We invite you to join us each week—leading up to Easter—as we endeavor to be with Jesus, so that we might live and become more like him.

TO THE CROSS READING PLAN

Together, this Lent, we will explore what it means to take up your cross daily as we follow Jesus on his journey to the resurrection on Easter morning.

In our new series, TO THE CROSS, we're picking up where we left off last fall in the Gospel of Mark to travel with Jesus to Jerusalem, sit with him during his last supper with his apostles, pray with him during his agony in Gethsemane, and stand at the foot of the cross on Golgotha where he offered his life for our salvation.

Won't you join us?  Click HERE for a daily reading plan.
