• Dave Ripper - Lead Pastor

    Dave received his Master of Divinity from Denver Seminary in 2010, specializing in leadership, spiritual formation, and preaching. Having served as a Campus Pastor, Young Adults Pastor, Student Pastor, Student Ministry Director and in other varying ministry roles, he is overjoyed to be the Lead Pastor at Crossway. Dave founded a chapel program for the Boston Bruins in 2016 and serves as the team’s chaplain. He released his first book (co-authored with Paul Borthwick), The Fellowship of the Suffering: How Hardship Shapes Us for Ministry and Mission (IVP)  in May 2018. Dave is married to his high school sweetheart, Erin, a licensed mental health counselor. They are the proud parents of two young boys, Dallas and Clive as well as their newest, a daughter Avila. We also can't forget to mention the family dog Howdy, a yellow lab. The Rippers originally hail from Pittsburgh, PA and love to spend their free time hiking, exploring America's National Parks, and hosting dinner parties.

  • Jake Scott - Executive Pastor of Ministry & Milford Campus

    Jake was born in the midwest, but moved out to God's country here in New England in 2009. He married his talented and driven wife, Kristin, in 2006. Jake and Kristin became parents when they felt God call them to adopt a young man from Haiti named Kemly who was three at the time. They also have two little girls, Harper and Macy. Jake has filled a lot of different roles in ministry including youth ministry, children's ministry, adult discipleship, and small groups. In addition, he and his wife planted a church and he was a teaching pastor before coming on staff at Crossway. Jake loves all things sports and will play pick-up just about any sport. His single favorite time of year is March Madness. Jake is passionate, fun-loving and crazy about people. He claims his love language is sarcasm; hang out with Jake to find out if you agree!

  • Tim Lafferty - Executive Pastor of Care & Administration

    Tim was born and raised in Buffalo, NY and Erie, PA before becoming a New Englander upon a family move during the summer before junior high school. Tim and Joan met in college, fell in love and were married in 1983. Tim worked in the business world for 22 years, during which time he and Joan became the parents of two wonderful sons, Pete and Joe. Their family journey took an unexpected turn when their young sons were diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in 1989. God deepened their faith in significant ways as they experienced the joys and challenges of raising two sons affected by disability. Tim answered God’s call to full-time ministry when he joined the staff team at Crossway in 2004, where he served in a variety of pastoral roles until transitioning to serve at Joni and Friends, a global disability ministry, in 2017. Tim is delighted to be back serving at Crossway. Tim and Joan’s greatest blessings were raising their amazing sons, Pete and Joe, who are now with Jesus. They enjoy walking, hiking, biking and sharing the love and hope of Jesus with everyone they meet.

  • Matt Beattie Pastor of Missional Ministries & Downtown Campus

    Matt was raised in Nashua and graduated from Nashua High (when there was only one!), he met his wife Michelle through their church when they were both high school students. Matt went to Rochester, NY to study photography, came home after a few years and worked in landscaping for a few years. Matt and Michelle married in 2006 and moved to Lowell, MA. Matt finished his undergraduate journey at Northeastern with a degree in Management, and has Masters in Theology and Ministry from Fuller Seminary. Matt began working for Grace Community Church in Chelmsford, MA as the Worship Director in 2007. Over his 15 years in ministry he wore many different hats, and served for over ten years as the Executive Pastor. Matt and Michelle have two beautiful daughters, Joanna and Meredith, and two persian cats! Matt's passion is helping people walk well with Jesus and others, and he's excited to be part of the Crossway family! In his spare time Matt enjoys mountain biking, going to the beach, and camping with his family. Contact Matt

  • Anson Thibault - Online Campus & Young Adults Pastor

    Anson grew up in southeastern New Hampshire in Durham, home to the University of New Hampshire.  There he fell in love with Jesus, New Hampshire culture, and landscape.  
    He felt led to get his degree in Biblical Studies and graduated from Liberty University in 2021
    . He interned with Crossway in the pandemic ridden summer of 2020, before staying on part-time as the online host.  He is excited to be serving in a full-time role and continuing to grow as a follower of Christ. Anson loves sports and most of the time can be found watching, following, playing, or talking about sports. He loves spending time with people, learning and listening to music.  Anson is excited to serve in multiple capacities and looks forward to getting to know more of the Crossway family!

  • Melissa Kosman - Children's Pastor

    Melissa was born and raised in Aurora IL. In 1992, she married Rob, the only man who laughed at her jokes, and in 1994 they moved to Massachusetts. After working in retail management for 20 years, Melissa took time off to start a family in 2002. She discovered a passion for serving in children’s ministry when the Kosman family moved back to Illinois in 2005. Soon after returning to Massachusetts in 2009, they made Crossway their church home. Before joining the Crossway staff, Melissa was a Community Event Manager for the American Cancer Society. Melissa, Rob and their two incredible children, Madeline & Mason, volunteer in ministry across all three Crossway campuses. When not serving at Crossway or in her local community, Melissa enjoys pilates, yoga, running, hiking and Friday night pizza/movie night with her family.

  • Tommy Riley - Student Pastor

    Tommy grew up in a small town outside of Rochester, NY called Lima. He earned a BA in Biblical Studies from Liberty University, minoring in Student Ministries. Tommy and his amazing wife, Mari-Ellen, married in 2009 and spent the next eight years in Ohio, where Tommy served as a Student Pastor in Akron and Columbus. Tommy and Mari-Ellen are parents to their son Monroe. The Riley family love New England, and are especially pleased to be living in New Hampshire where they are close to family in both New York and Maine. During his free time, Tommy loves long walks on the beach….just kidding. Tommy enjoys family time, home projects, outdoor activities and probably binge watch too many reality TV shows.

  • Katrina Loff - Service Director - Milford Campus

    Katrina was born and raised in sunny Southern California, moving to New Hampshire in August 2016 with her husband, Graham, and son, Hunter. Katrina has a Masters of Education in Student Affairs from Azusa Pacific University.  She is passionate about working with and serving others, event coordination and volunteer engagement.  Katrina is a lover of all things crafty including scrapbooking, card-making and personalized party decor.  She also enjoys exploring the wonder of the outdoors and looks forward to many more adventures in New England.  From the moment she and her family set foot into the Crossway's lobby, they knew they had found home and feel blessed to be part of this Christ centered community.

  • Katrina Cassady - Service Director - Downtown Campus

    Katrina has worked with children since she was a teenager and loves to serve. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, she's lived in Indiana and Massachusetts, and currently resides in Derry, New Hampshire with her husband, Randle, and their teenage daughters, Natalie and Harley. The Cassady's were drawn to Crossway because of its commitment to investing in youth and children, which makes being part of the Kidsway team such a blessing. Katrina loves being a mom to her teenage daughters and, when not driving them around, enjoys reading and crafts.

  • Dawn Galgay - Service Director - Pond Campus

    Dawn was born and raised in Kansa where she met her husband Daniel, moving to New England in 1991 when Dan completed his service with the Army. In 1998 they bought their home in Nashua where they have raised their two amazing sons Jacob and Quinlan. Dawn has a degree in Business: non-profit management from Southern New Hampshire University. She has worked in customer service now for over 30 years working primarily with the pharmaceutical industry.  This past year she began work with a community solar company, helping customers to make a move towards a more positive environmental future. It was in 2013 that Dawn first found Crossway, it quickly became her home church. Between Crossway and her prior church, Dawn has been serving in children's ministry since 2001. Here she has served in both Kidsway and Student Ministries. For Dawn, family is everything. She enjoys watching both hockey and football and, in her free time, is an avid reader. She has always felt drawn to serving with children, especially those who have special needs, she feels blessed to be able to do so within this role as the Service Director at the Crossway Pond Campus.

  • Debbie LaFrance - Children's Ministry & Communications Administrator

    Debbie attended Faith Theology College in Maine and graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor's Degree in Missions and Theology. After graduating, she itinerated throughout New England to raise funds and support for a 1-year missions trip to Paraguay, South America. In Paraguay, Debbie was heavily involved in rural church planting and children's ministry. While there she spent an extensive amount of time with children and also discovered her passion for photography. She returned to New Hampshire, married Rob in 1993, and has stayed active in children's ministries throughout the years. Debbie and Rob have two daughters, Amanda and Nicole, and have been attending Crossway since 2012. Debbie is the owner of Expressions Photography, enjoys photography, kayaking, traveling and spending time with her family.

  • Chris Birch - Communications Director

    Chris grew up in Nashua NH and moved to North Carolina to attend Western Carolina University in 2010. There Chris met his wife Carley at a local coffee shop that they worked at together. Both were very involved with college ministry and discipleship and shared a passion for missions, the local church, and photography. They got married in 2014 and are now parents to their two children India (4) and Charlie (2) as well as their dog Bruin, named after the Boston Bruins. For the past 7 years Chris has worked full time for a church running their media department as well as building a business focusing on photography and videography. 

    He and his family love hiking, gardening, indie folk music, as well as playing hockey and disc golf.

  • Cori Carnahan - Worship Arts Director

    Cori called Colorado home as she grew up. It was there she came to love Jesus, met her childhood sweetheart and husband, Josh, had her two daughters, and became a lifelong Broncos fan. In 2016, their family relocated to Merrimack, New Hampshire and quickly fell in love with the beauty of the east coast. But it was the warm welcome they received from the wonderful people of Crossway's Milford Campus that made New England truly feel like home. She feels blessed and honored to serve her church family in this capacity. During the week you can find Cori homeschooling her girls, cuddling with her dog, and laughing with her husband. No matter the time of year be sure to ask her how many days until Christmas . . . she always knows!

  • Nolen Smith - Worship Arts Resident

    Nolen grew up in Richardson, TX, outside of Dallas.  While he took piano and clarinet lessons as a child, nothing stuck until he picked up the guitar in middle school.  He discovered his passion for leading worship as a junior in high school when he was asked to lead worship for his youth group. He has been leading worship since 2013 and has led at two previous churches.  In 2020, He married his wife, Juli, and completed a Bachelor's degree in worship leadership from The King's University. Nolen finds joy in drinking coffee, listening to music, and enjoying nature. He has a passion for creating opportunities for people to meet with God.

  • Caleb Davis - Technical Engineer

    Caleb grew up in his hometown of Littleton Massachusetts. He graduated from Littleton High School in the crazy pandemic year of 2020. He started attending the Pond campus of Crossway at the age of 8. In 2020 he started working more closely with some of the other volunteers and staff for the services and online campus, learning all about the technology and how to maintain and fix it all. He is very excited to serve God in his part time role and to strengthen his faith and relationship with God. Caleb loves sports so if you’re playing a game definitely invite him. He loves going on hikes, listening to music and working on graphic design/photography projects. Caleb is excited to serve and meet more of the great people of Crossway. Contact Caleb


  • Riani Martin - Executive Assistant & Bookkeeper

    A native South African, Riani graduated from the University of Orange Free State in Bloemfontein and taught high school accounting and typing in South Africa for 14 years. She and her husband, Roan, have two sons, Anthony and Stefan. The Martin family came to the United States in 2004, first living in Maryland for three years and then relocating to Nashua. Riani and Roan have been involved in ministry at Crossway since they began attending in 2011. Riani is an avid archer and loves to travel. She has a passion for cooking, baking and arts & crafts that she enjoys sharing with family & friends.

  • Kim Williams - Facilities Project Specialist

    Upon retiring from Northrop Grumman in Connecticut in 2008, Kim and his wife Julia moved to New Hampshire to be nearer to family. They have four married daughters and seven grandchildren. Kim and Julia began attending Crossway in 2008 and in 2009 Kim joined the staff as a volunteer facilities and maintenance person . It should be noted that Kim grew up in Katonah, New York and continues to be a loyal Yankees and Giants fan. In his spare time Kim enjoys traveling, vegetable gardening and playing golf.

  • Mark Green

    Mark and his wife Nancy grew up in the midwest but have lived in Nashua since 1988. They were excited to be at Crossway when it launched in 1995. Mark and Nancy are active in Kidsway: Downtown, as well as the Jobs for Life program. Mark has worked in Pharmaceutical R&D throughout his career and currently consults for a number of companies in the Boston area. Mark and Nancy enjoy spending time with their family - Michael & Casey, Nathan & Rachelle and Laura & Travis. In their spare time together, they like to travel or get outdoors - biking, swimming, snowshoeing and gardening. Contact Mark

  • John Hubbard

    John, a New Englander by birth, grew up just north of Boston, but left New England for university in SC where he met his wife Janice. Janice is from Calgary, AB, Canada, and they were married in the Canadian Rockies over 30 years ago. They moved to New Hampshire in 1997 and have lived in Mont Vernon since then. They have 4 adult children (3 married) and two grandkids. Serving in the local church has always been a part of their adult lives. Shortly after Crossway Milford opened its doors they started attending and have worked in Kidsway and lead small groups. John ushers and hosts and Janice plays keys on the worship team. Small groups and Bible studies have been vital to their spiritual growth and they want to share that experience with others. John works for a global healthcare equipment manufacturer and spends most days driving to hospitals all around New England. They love spending time with their family as well as being outdoors enjoying NH during all 4 seasons. Contact John

  • Andrew Scott

    Raised in Texas, Andrew met his wife Rachel halfway around the world while singing and playing guitar on a street corner in Vienna, Austria. Members of Crossway since 2007 and parents to 7 children, they have served in Kidsway, in Student Ministry and in Small Groups. Professionally, Andrew helped build a financial education company both as an instructor working with clients as well as a senior executive working with leadership of the company. He is now an independent investor with his favorite job being that of ‘Daddy.’ His passion in ministry is helping people realize that the best reason to be a Christian is because it is true. 1 Peter 3:15.   • Sam Shankar

    Sam and his wife, Leonie, met through mutual friends from church in India, where they also married and started their family. After their marriage Sam had the opportunity to work in the USA and moved in1999, followed by Leonie in 2000. Sam and Leonie have one son, Joash. In 2012, the Shankars moved to Nashua NH, joining Crossway shortly afterward. Sam and Leonie have passions for Jesus and serving in Crossway ministries. Sam is employed with a cloud-based software company, where he works closely with various public sector departments of states and provinces from both US and Canada.   • Dave Smith - Founding Pastor

    Dave and Nancy Smith founded Crossway Christian Church in 1995, where Dave served as lead pastor until 2001.  The Smiths returned to Crossway in 2016 to replant our Downtown Campus.  In 2021, Crossway commissioned the Smiths for Dave’s new role as Mission Catalyst for Global Cities Mission Initiative in Phoenix, AZ.  We are proud to support the Smiths in their missionary endeavors, and for Dave to serve in the honorary role of Founding Pastor.
