PREPARATION - ENRICHMENT - RESTORATION

Marriage Preparation

We strive to prepare couples for lifelong marriages that honor and glorify God. As part of preparation for marriage at Crossway we require the following:

1. Meet with a Crossway Pastor, and
2
. Complete at least one of the following (class and assessment may be combined):

Premarital Class for Marriages:
Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts or Saving Your Second Marriage Before It Starts
These small groups for first or additional marriages are taught by one of our marriage ministry couples during our regular small group semesters. Chapters include discussions about myths, love styles, the habit of happiness, communication, gender gap, conflict and spiritual intimacy.
Visit Small Groups for the next available class and cost.

Premarital Assessment:
Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts Assessment is designed to obtain a clear picture of your personal and relational momentum for marriage, gain new insights into your personalities and how they work together and learn new skills to strengthen your relationship for life long love.  Each person will individually take a 30 minute online survey. This survey generates a combined report that is sent to and reviewed by a trained SYMBIS facilitator couple. The engaged couple will then meet with the facilitator couple to unpack their report together over a 2-3 two-hour session. Cost is $35 per couple.  To sign up for the assessment, please email John and Jancy Sweeney.
